FIRM PROFILE
A firm of seasoned trial lawyers, the Law Office of Steven D. Hillyard has extensive trial experience in a variety of cases and venues. We have tried over 100 jury trials, 50 arbitrations, and dozens of administrative law matters. Further, members of our firm are among the elite American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Our record of obtaining favorable results, and providing value to clients, is well-established in both state and federal courts, arbitration and administrative law forums.
LOSDH serves the litigation needs of our clients whether they are individuals; professionals in medicine; insured or self-insured businesses; municipalities; colleges and universities; religious, educational, or non-profit institutions; insurers; or joint powers authorities. Though we specialize in general litigation including medical malpractice, and bad faith, we fervently pursue additional claims when they are in the best interest of the client to do so.
While the majority of the firm’s time is spent practicing at the trial court level, when appellate representation is required we move comfortably into that forum and have an established record of excellent results.
LOSDH is dedicated to providing clients with thoughtful, creative, and aggressive litigation and trial strategies. Early case investigation and analysis are stressed, along with client reporting and realistic budgeting of anticipated legal expenses.
The firm works to be familiar not only with our clients’ legal issues, but also their industries. By attaining this familiarity, we strive to provide legal advice that transcends a single lawsuit, and allows the client to make decisions that track with overall business strategies.
